The character MA (間) in Japanese loosely translates to “the space in between”.

In this liminal idea, MAMAG finds its inspiration, conceived for those drawn to quiet journeys.

Eschewing superlatives for stories, our digital travel magazine hopes to inspire itineraries that are unfettered by “must-sees and -dos”.

MAMAG seeks to capture all that is fleeting: A news story that might have slipped by; an opening that was missed; an opinion not yet expressed. In our explorations, we also give space to overlooked places, people, and their businesses.

With these vignettes, we hope to return to you, your agency when traveling.
